Sheer Audio HA-006++ (DynaLo) is a pure class A, high performance headphone amp/pre-amp that takes all of the excellent performance, great sound, powerful presentation, crystal clear details of the original HA-006+ and push it as far as it can go while remain at a VERY REASONABLE price.



While testing our original HA-006+, this amp based on Dr. Kevin Gilmore's renowned Dynamic Headphone Amp (AKA: DynaLo) had shown great potential, and was met with great reception by headphone user all around. While the HA-006+ version is a great budget machine, we feel that the same chassis can be made to perform even better if the budget is increased by a reasonable amount.


Well, that's exactly what we did with Sheer Audio HA-006++, it is fully upgraded to perform at much higher level of sound quality, it is also now built with higher level of build quality requirement as well. It took us about the better part of 6 month to tune it, and add a few month more for custom ordered upgrade parts to arrive. The result? A headphone amp with stunning performance while still remain at a reasonable price.




How's Sheer Audio HA-006++ different?:

1. Stepped Attenuator Volume: High quality 21 step stepped attenuator replaces the carbon film pot used originally, massive increase in detail, balance and tonal quality. An added bonus is that the left/right channel volume balance will be perfectly spot on ALL THE TIME!
2. New Custom Transformer: Custom Acoustic-Fun Class Z Series is now used in HA-006++ to provide better sound quality (more involving and relaxed sound) and with increased efficiency as a bonus.
3. Re-tuned Power Circuit: Power supply components and setup are completely re-tuned to provide better performance.
4. Upgraded Neutrik Socket: Plain locking socket is now replaced by a Neutrik 1/4"(6.35mm) locking socket with silver plated contact.
5. Upgraded RCA Socket: Plain RCA sockets is now replaced with quality RCA sockets that is better built with better design.
6. New Power/Input Setup: New dedicated circuit boards now handles the power input and signal input, neater layout and better safety.
7. Re-tuned main amp circuit: Numerous updates and changes in the main circuit for even better performance.
8. Free Custom Gain: Now users can choose between original (11x), 3x or 1x gain free of charge.

How's Sheer Audio HA-006++ sounds like?:

1. Neutral Sound Signature: While HA-006+ is designed to taint sound as little as possible, and HA-006++ follows that tradition while provide more detail and better tonal quality.
2. Pure Class A Quality: Great smooth sound with very enjoyable warmth and detail, and a very good sound stage and layering to boot.
3. Effortless Drive: Same powerful paralleled Bi-Polar transistor output stage makes music sound effortless and natural with even the most demanding headphones. No longer will you have to endure wobbling bass, piercing treble, muddy mids or other effects of improperly driven headphones.
4. Open Sound Stage: Further expanded sound stage to make it sound open and free, even better than what HA-006+ does.
5. Precise Instrument Imaging: With better sound stage, better imaging comes naturally, and it clearly present each instrument and where they come from.
6. Highly Detailed Sound: Even more detail than before, but all are presented naturally for you to enjoy.
7. Lively Bass: Excellent bass extension with vast amount of detail, and of course, the proper KA-BOOM that Dr. Gilmore demands. It won't be that muddy boom that you hear with other headphone amp.
8. Listenability: With the ability to extract all the details, we still keep HA-006+ very enjoyable with non-fatiguing sound. After all, it would not be fun to listen to something that will fatigue you out quickly.

What qualities does Sheer Audio HA-006++ have?:

1. Easy Installation: Works just like any other headphone amp or pre-amp, just plug the power, signal and your headphone on and you will be ready to rock! It also work extremely well as pre-amp for your active speaker or power amp.
2. Built-in Power: HA-006++ is equipped with a very robust and powerful internal power supply, no longer will you have to put up with a wall wart power supply.
3. Highly Refined Design: While Dr. Gilmore's design is already excellent, we have developed many revisions using different parts to make HA-006++ sound even better than HA-006+, which already sounds great to start with.
4. Quality Connectors: Quality Neutrik locking headphone socket and heavy duty gold plated copper RCA connector ensure excellent connection in and out.
5. Quality Components: Using precision parts throughout the entire headphone amp, fully shielded signal wires, carefully hand matched transistors, and a purely direct-coupled setup. All done in the quest for better sound.
6. Custom High Powered Transformer: We used a transformer with specs far exceeds the requirement of the circuit, providing plenty of clean power to HA-006+.
7. Compact & Stylish: Sturdy metal chassis that looks perfectly at home whether it is on your desk or on the stereo rack.

Sheer Audio HA-006++ Basic Specs:

1. Hand Matched Transistors: Matched to very close tolerance for better stability and performance
2. Pure Class A Operation: Pure Class A operation, with over 100mA per channel capability, easily drives most dynamic headphones.
3. Fully DC Coupled Circuit: No signal distorting capacitor or DC servo in the signal path, allowing better and more neutral frequency extension.
4. Dual Independent Power: Two independent regulator circuits, dedicated high current +/-15V analog power for the amp circuit.
5. Pre-amp Output: High quality variable output via RCA, can be easily used to drive active speaker or power amp. Performs perfectly as a high quality pre-amp.
6. International Voltage Compatibility: Simple flick of a switch will allow you to switch between 115V (usable for countries of 100 to 125V) and 230V (usable for countries of 200 to 250V).

Warranty:

For KECES: All KECES products carries an 1 year parts and labor warranty.

For Sheer-Audio: All Sheer-Audio products carries a 2 year parts and labor warranty.

For All Products: Within warranty period, we will fix or replace it as quickly as possible at our discretion(usually under 3 days). User will be responsible for shipping it to us, and we will pay for the return shipping. For products out of warranty, we will charge a minimal repair/return shipping charge and process it quickly just like we do for warranty. Warranty will be voided if the product is modified, physically damaged(including but not limited to: impact/fall, moisture/water, fire, lighting or other force of nature/acts of God), or improperly used in ways that the product is not rated for.
